X-Wing Sudoku lesson

Two matching candidate pairs across two rows or columns lock a digit into four corners.

The working method

  1. 1.Find two rows where one digit appears in exactly the same two columns, or transpose the pattern.
  2. 2.Use the four candidate cells as the corners of a rectangle.
  3. 3.Remove that digit from the other cells in the two crossing columns or rows.
